Welcome to Explores India. These Terms & Conditions govern the use of our website, products, and travel services. By accessing our website, making an inquiry, or confirming a booking with Explores India, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.


1. ABOUT US

Explores India is a Destination Management Company (DMC) and inbound tour operator specializing in travel experiences across Bhutan, Nepal India, and Sri Lanka.

Our services include, but are not limited to:

  • Tailor-made holidays
  • Cultural and heritage tours
  • Wildlife safaris
  • Adventure travel
  • Trekking expeditions
  • Beach holidays
  • Self-drive tours
  • Motorcycle expeditions
  • Luxury travel experiences
  • Group and special-interest travel
  • Ground handling services

2. BOOKING AGREEMENT

A contract between the traveler and Explores India comes into existence only when a booking confirmation has been issued and the required deposit or payment has been received.

The person making the booking confirms that they are authorized to act on behalf of all travelers included in the booking.


3. QUOTATIONS AND PRICING

All quotations are:

  • Subject to availability
  • Valid for the period specified in the quotation
  • Based on current exchange rates, taxes, fuel costs, and supplier rates

Explores India reserves the right to revise prices prior to booking confirmation due to:

  • Currency fluctuations
  • Government tax changes
  • Fuel surcharges
  • Supplier rate revisions
  • Force majeure circumstances

Prices are generally quoted in USD, EUR, GBP, or INR unless otherwise specified.


4. PAYMENT TERMS
Deposit

A deposit of 25% - 50% of the total tour cost may be required to confirm services.

Certain services may require full advance payment, including:

  • Luxury accommodations
  • Internal flights
  • Train reservations
  • Special permits
  • Festival departures
  • Peak season bookings
Final Payment

The balance payment must normally be received no later than 45 days prior to arrival unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Failure to make payment by the due date may result in cancellation of services.


5. TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

Travelers are solely responsible for obtaining and carrying:

  • Valid passports
  • Entry visas
  • Transit visas
  • Travel permits
  • Health certificates
  • Vaccination documentation
  • Any other required travel documents

Explores India shall not be liable for denied entry, deportation, missed departures, or losses arising from incomplete documentation.


6. TRAVEL INSURANCE

Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended and should cover:

  • Medical emergencies
  • Hospitalization
  • Personal accidents
  • Trip cancellation
  • Trip interruption
  • Baggage loss
  • Emergency evacuation
  • Personal liability

Travelers participate at their own risk if they choose not to obtain travel insurance.


7. HEALTH AND FITNESS

Certain tours may involve physical activity, high altitudes, wildlife environments, remote regions, or adventure activities.

Travelers are responsible for ensuring they are medically fit to participate.

Any pre-existing medical conditions, dietary requirements, disabilities, or special needs should be disclosed at the time of booking.


8. CHANGES REQUESTED BY THE TRAVELER

Changes requested after booking confirmation may be subject to:

  • Administrative charges
  • Supplier amendment fees
  • Fare differences
  • Additional accommodation costs

All amendments are subject to availability.


9. CANCELLATION BY THE TRAVELER

All cancellations must be submitted in writing.

Cancellation charges will be applied in accordance with the published Cancellation & Refund Policy applicable at the time of booking.

Certain services may be fully non-refundable regardless of cancellation date.


10. CANCELLATION OR MODIFICATION BY EXPLORES INDIA

Explores India reserves the right to modify itineraries, accommodations, transportation, routes, or activities where necessary due to:

  • Weather conditions
  • Road closures
  • Safety concerns
  • Operational requirements
  • Supplier issues
  • Government restrictions
  • Force majeure events

Comparable alternatives will be provided whenever reasonably possible.


11. FORCE MAJEURE

Explores India shall not be liable for failure to perform its obligations due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters
  • Earthquakes
  • Floods
  • Landslides
  • Pandemics
  • Epidemics
  • War
  • Civil unrest
  • Terrorism
  • Government actions
  • Border closures
  • Airline disruptions
  • Labor strikes

In such cases, refunds and credits will be subject to supplier policies and actual recoveries.


12. ACCOMMODATION

Accommodation descriptions are based on information provided by hotels and suppliers.

Hotel classifications may vary by destination and country.

Explores India cannot guarantee specific rooms, views, floor levels, bedding configurations, or special requests unless expressly confirmed.


13. TRANSPORTATION

Transportation services may include:

  • Private vehicles
  • Shared vehicles
  • Domestic flights
  • International flights
  • Rail travel
  • Ferries
  • Cruise services

Schedules are subject to change by the respective operators.

Explores India shall not be liable for delays, cancellations, missed connections, or schedule changes caused by transportation providers.


14. ADVENTURE ACTIVITIES

Activities such as trekking, rafting, mountain biking, motorcycling, wildlife safaris, and other adventure experiences involve inherent risks.

Participation is voluntary and at the traveler's own risk.

Travelers must comply with all safety instructions provided by guides and operators.


15. WILDLIFE SAFARIS

Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed.

National park regulations, weather conditions, and animal movements may affect safari operations.

Park authorities may modify entry timings, routes, or access without prior notice.


16. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Explores India acts as an intermediary between travelers and independent service providers.

Our liability shall be limited to the amount paid directly to Explores India for the affected service.

We shall not be liable for:

  • Personal injury
  • Illness
  • Death
  • Property loss
  • Theft
  • Delays
  • Travel disruptions
  • Additional expenses
  • Indirect or consequential damages

except where required by applicable law.


17. CLIENT CONDUCT

Travelers are expected to behave responsibly and respectfully toward:

  • Local communities
  • Fellow travelers
  • Guides and staff
  • Wildlife
  • Cultural and religious sites

Explores India reserves the right to terminate arrangements for any traveler whose behavior is considered unsafe, disruptive, illegal, or offensive.

No refund shall be due in such circumstances.


18. WEBSITE CONTENT

All website content including text, images, itineraries, graphics, logos, branding, and design elements are the intellectual property of Explores India unless otherwise stated.

Unauthorized reproduction, copying, distribution, or commercial use is prohibited.


19. WEBSITE CONTENT

Personal information collected through our website or during travel arrangements shall be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.


20. COMPLAINTS

If a traveler experiences any issue during their journey, they must notify the local representative or Explores India immediately to allow an opportunity for resolution.

Any post-travel complaint should be submitted in writing within 30 days of completion of services.


21. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India.

Any disputes arising from these Terms & Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Delhi, India.


22. ACCEPTANCE

By using our website, requesting services, making a booking, or traveling with Explores India, you acknowledge and accept these Terms & Conditions in their entirety.
